I have finished the tiling in the bathrooms, and thought I'd post some pics..
All was very easy, until I came to these bits:
As I didn't want to raise the toilet up & tile under it (for a number of reasons I won't go into), I was faced with the task of cutting tiles to go round the toilet & pipe work.
Here's the result (well, unfinished result - yet to take pics of it complete):
I'll post pics of the finished result when I have taken them

How do you cut the tiles to go round the toilet etc? Jigsaw?
Lights look spot on too, where did you get them from?

wouldn't advise cutting ceramic floor tiles with a jigsaw to be honest Melville
You can get pretty good results from a standard wheel cutter. I also had to cut a few awkward shapes to go around the toilet etc... luckily i managed to lift the sink up so didn't need any cutting there...

Your supposed to tile under the toilet.
What happens if your toilet cracks or something....you'll need to fit a new floor

Aye supposed to tile under the toilet and pedastool if you can, looks nice thou, lights are a nice finishing touch
Have you had much mess with the white grout? I just had my bathroom redone and am unsure on whether to go for grey or white grout
I think white looks nicer but can be abitch to clean!

yeah you are but you'd only end up having to replace two tiles max anyway.
I'm after some finials (sp?) to go around the towel heater pipes where they go into the floor... anyone know where I could get these from?

Do u mean the white/chrome tubing that goes over the pipes?

Just been doing some research on the net and they advise to cut tiles with a tile saw for hard curves etc, not a jigsaw

not quite, though I know what you mean.
Apparently they're like small rubber things that you put around the pipes. They just sit on the floor and are only a mm or so thick. Where I cut the tiles there is obviously a hole that I would like to hide between the pipe and the wall.

Melville you would have to be dumb to try that to be honest. There's too much movement in a jigsaw and the tile would just crack.

Ally, have managed to put a small bit of tile in one and grout but it looks a little strange. Want it to be perfect

can do it either way Jimbo.
in all the houses I have been in though people have tiled around the loo. You risk cracking the tiles when securing the toilet back down into the floor. Much easier (and more fulfilling) to cut a few tiles to go around.

Dave, that's partially the reason I didn't want to raise the toilet.. and for the fact that they are only half under the toilet - didn't want some lard-ass to sit on the shitter & crack em!! 
But also, due to the design of the toilet, I would have needed to raise the cystern up too.
With regards to the toilet bowl cracking, I'm sure that the tiles would have cracked due to the toilet being on top a long time before this would happen.
I'm actually selling the house now anyway, so its no concern of mine anyway now

The floor lights were from a local electrical shop to me, they're made by "Ultra" and are £50 for 10, with all the wiring & transformer etc..
I think you can also get them from B&Q.
I made all the straight cuts with a wet diamond wheel cutting machine. All the curved/shaped cuts were done with an angle grinder and diamond wheel (keeping it very wet!) And all the holes were cut with a 22mm diamond wheel cutter (again, keeping it wet)
I did have to use a file to do a little finishing on the edges & wound the supply pipes to open them out slightly.
Oh, and here's a battle scar from the angry-angle grinder!!
I was holding the tile similar to the position of my hand in the pic, and holding the grinder with my right hand. The grinder decided to slip up the tile & travel across it, staight into the path of my porr hand  Luckily, I pulled away pretty quick and only caught it. Oh, and the blade was red hot, so it cauterised the cut!
