Cyprus won 5-2

Christ, Steve Staunton for the chop very soon. Was never a good appointment in the first place IMO.

Giving the management of your countries football team to someone with no experience in management?

Genius.

jack charlton got the best players he could under Fifa's guidlines and although i dont agree with the guidelines he did well with them.

Your own nation has been just as bad the last ten years anyway

you dont know how close you are with that statement seen as my uncle coached him from the age of 8 i played with him at under 12s and my cousin martin is still in constant contact with him

he plays for ireland as its all hes ever wanted to do as his grandad took the most interest in him took him to every single match home and away then passed away before he made his full debut. His grandad was Irish and he sees it as what he would have wanted.

why?

Aiden McGeady will be player of the year this year something i put money on over a year ago when he was out injured due to the fact hes 10x the player Maloney is. Another couple of good performances in the champs league and he'll be coveted down south as well.

your making yourself look very stupid now because the 2 i mentioned were regarded better prospects at a young age than even wayne rooney, dont confuse 'prospects' with meaning 'better player'
