Been out in town for the first time in ages last night, had a great time with the lads, didn't have too much to drink and seeing as it was a fairly nice night, decided to walk it home. Mistake. Stopped for some food, came out of the shop and got set about by some Asian chavs after they'd harrassed me for a bit.

Knocked one down, then got hit in the face, managed to get out of there and into a cab, lucky really that it was there. So now have a nice sore cheek, clothes covered in something they threw over me, and only just finished giving a statement and having SOCO take swabs. They're treating it as attempted robbery, so are going over cctv footage from nearby buildings etc, hope they can get something out of it.

Just glad I got home ok, and managed to hold onto all my property. Robbing fucking scum.

I called it in as an assault, ut they're treating it as AR. Apparently if they'd snatched something and run, it's theft, but the fact they tried to take my property by force makes it attempted robbery.

Last week some 'white' teenagers, yes white...did the same to me but they ran away. It was just in front of the bank. Security saw it on the cctv and came out

Their intent was definitely to rob me, asked if I had anything for them (like I'm gonna say yes), then one came right up close to me and basically felt my pockets, grabbed my mobile through my jeans, then says to his mate "he's got somethin on him..."

Then they threw something over me, dont know what it was, didnt burn or anything, then came at me.

I really do owe the taxi driver bigtime, didnt expect him to stop, they were starting to get the edge on me and he arrived just in time.

Apparently he'd almost been killed in the same place 9 years ago, so was sympathetic.
