next door neighbour has just picked his up today and it looks mint.
04 plate/ 11,000 on the clock / dark blue. decided this over a mk4 golf.
looks really basic inside, not much there. What are ppls opinions on the vx220 ? and would you have one over a mk4 golf ?

BTW the golf he went to look at is at the bottom of this page

If I wanted a car for winter/wet/shopping/comfort, no, I would not chose one over a Golf.

If I wanted a car for summer, yes.

He did have a punto which kept breaking down all the time so he scrapped it and now has this. Will be using this all year round I presume as he has stated how bad public transport is everytime I see him

as Rob said, winter car, would I fuck. If he has a bit of cash to spare suggest that he gets a winter runaround and stores that thing for summer.

I would hate to go to Tesco in one in the pissing rain.....struggle to get in out of it in the cramped parking space, return with 10 bags of messages, load them...sorry - stuff them into the passenger seat & attempt to drive home with tins of baked beans & cornflakes flying everywhere

Deffo a summer toy!!

id also hate to come back to it in tescos carpark to find new trolley dings and dents where careless mums have opened their doors on their honda HRV`s.

hi mate,

i have a vx myself and think they are awesome, sure iaz would agree. Like every car it has its bad points but the looks, handling and noise off the engine when it gets moving makes it all seem worth while. Ohh and the looks and comments you get too can be cool at times

Stuarty.

The noise and handling are pretty shite as standard.
