ma best mate had his car broken into last night, they stole his cd player and his sub and amp! apparently 3 others with the same car had theirs broke in to on the same block! they bent the door back about 3 inches and that allowed them to undo the lock, bastards! would't mind but this is a quiet area that doesn't have much crime!

Only messing mate, I know what you mean, i live on box hill in surrey and you never get crime but 3 weeks ago my next door neighboor had his tom tom nicked from his car, i told him that he shouldn't of left it in his car but to be fair this is the sort of place you can leave your house doors and windows wide open and go out and nothing will happen!!!!

One thing I don't like about Corsa's (if he has one), they don't have dead locks as far as I know. So if you smashed the window, you can simply unlock. MK4 Fiesta's have them

nah he has a 1.1 saxo and the other 3 cars that got broke in to were the same! apparently its a common fault on saxos, a lot of saxo owners have their door pins removed!

With the Fiestas, if you twist the key to the right, it is a standard lock. If you twist it left then right, it deadlocks it.
I have a W-reg GLS. Are the deadlocks automatic or do you need to lock the car differently like with Fiestas?

when locking the key should move 90degrees so its horizontal, think it only works on the drivers door though, at least it was on my parents astra
