I see people talking about conversions, and simply putting XE refers to a 2ltr but have also seen LET written about 2ltr's too. I simply wondered what the difference was and what is therefore the best?
You know the stickers that you can get that say "My other car is a Ferrari" to put on bangers. I really want one for my 12v that says "My other car is an LET" or "My other car is an XE" but don't know which one is the better?!

XE is out of an astra gte/gsi 2ltr 16v, NA around 150bhp.
LET is out of a cav or calibra 4X4 Turbo.
So LET is better.
best of getting some gsi stickers for the 12valver!!!!

haha no, I just want something really discreet and small, that someone from on here or someone who appreciates car modifications will get the joke. Preferably a window sticker that will sit below the rear wiper
Are LET's generally older engines because of the car they come out of? The previous shape Astra GSi, is this an XE engine?

I would just look like a dick with GSi badges on a 12ver trying to race a genuine GSi Hence why I want a sticker saying "My other car is an LET" or something to that affect...

20XE and C20XE can be found in Cavaliers/Calibras/Astra Mk2 and MK3. Probably started about 1989/90 on a G?
C20LET found in Calibra 4x4 Turbos and Cavalier Turbos, i guess from about 1992/3 on?
Out of the box..
XE = 150bhp.
LET = 200 bhp.
Unfortunatley "My other cars an XE" wont mean much because they code their 1.0s and 1.2s as XE too.
LET always refers to the good old calibra turbo lump!

Not this question again. I expect this to get deleted or the thread to turn into an 18 page argument of people who haven't driven/been in either ranting on and on about how a tuned 1.6 is better or a tuned 2.0 is better.

haha true, I just thought it'd be better than a CorsaSport sticker to a certain extent because my car isn't exactly sporty - its best credentials are probably genuine, original Vauxhall flaps & £80 Kenwood stereo
With regard to the XE sticker not making sence, I can see what you mean as I got confused when I first started posting with people referring to XE - I had no idea what size it is. God I've learnt so much in so little time, if only Uni was as interesting as this

I did do a search by having XE and LET in the search field but it returned nothing

By the way, if you must get a silly sticker, you shouldn't get 'My other car is an XE' because as all the geeks will point out, your current car is also and XE

haha yeah I know, has been mentioned previously. Just u2u'd Splatgraphix to see how much "My other car is a LET" would be or a smaller CorsaSport sticker.

techincally a turbo'd xe would be better than a let. and in all honesty, a tuned 20xe would be far better than any high powered let.

But wot about a 4X4 LET???
I take it by saying a tuned XE is beter than a LET is due to traction?
