i think that depends how good you are, if you show a bodyshop your work and they like it im sure they would hire you as they would get more custom and happy customers etc

You need to look at apprenticeships mate, do NVQ 2 + 3 in body repair/panel spraying etc. Courses usually take about 3 years depending on who employs you and who sorts out your training.

eel. you have to give somthing like this a long thought, think about the person who would hire you with out any skills in bodyshop, he would lose out on money and be fixing any mistakes wich costs more money and loss of custom and a bad rep. he also wouldnt hire you to watch other people do the work while you learn that way, he would be paying you for nothing. im sure you wouldnt like to pay me to come and do some bodywork on your car knwoing well i havnt done it before hehe, you can pay me and see how it turns out though, i do need the extra cash

well i wouldnt employ you, based on the grammar, language and attitude you have.
the best thing you could do would be to write to a local bodyshop enquiring about apprentice positions. many of the bigger companies will take on trainees and send them to college on day release. but expect £40 a week apprentice rate.

If you can do it just rent out your own unit and be employed by yourself.

You will NEED some form of qualifications in the correct field. Look into apprenticeships as people have said, if I owned a bodyshop and someone with no qualifications asked for a job it'd be a no straight away. Its not like stacking shelves at Tesco theres alot of skill involved and a bodyshop would'nt have the time to fully train someone up. Time is money and all that.

Well go out and get some qualifications, other than that get off your arse and go and ask some bodyshops if there are any positions for someone who is unqualified. Clearly you can't be arsed so why should they be arsed with you.

Best of luck.

if you want to get into that area you will definitely need to start at the bottom rung. i did, i was stuck on £90 a week for a few months and im still not seeing any more money until i have my qualifications on my doorstep. if its something you want to do then you need to make sacrifices.
