Any 19" monitor at that price, unless the best deal ever, and especially a widescreen one is going to be rubbish.

My definition of rubbish in this case is I wouldn't want to have to look at it for any longer than I had to and certainly not be playing any games or wanting to watch video on it.

Save up and get a Dell one. All of the Dell screens I use are by far the best. I have used a fair few as all the labs at uni have different brand screens I also have owned a few and they have been great

The cheap ones I have used always have dead pixels in them. It's bloody annoying. Especially as these screens are only two years old.

How old is the screen though? The cheaper ones fail more quickly. Mine are still going strong and they must be about 4 or 5 years old now.

Without even looking it woudln't pass muster.

Have had loads of discussions on here about this before though, some people don't notice the difference and if they don't and a cheap one does the job then fair enough.

If you're not used to seeing a good picture then you see it as good, where as once you've owned a good one you wont go back...
