Basically bought a new car 1.4 Active Sport Punto.

Did 1K miles and brakes squealled like a biatch - Back to Fiat - Modified Pads Fitted

Did another 1K miles and brakes squealled like a biatch - Back to Fiat new pads and Discs Fitted

Just made it to almost another 1K miles and the breaks are squealling again...

Surly I have given them enough chances to repair the fault, Can I just hand it back and demand a refund

25 times I have been at the bloddy dealership in the last 4 months

I know its a fiat but still!!!!!

Thats what I am trying to do....return this one with no negative equity cause I now hate the car.....but like the styling etc.

The 1.9 has disc brakes all round, also the delaer siad that Fiat are having difficulty with the brakes on the Active range only and not the sporting and they cant figure it out

Brake lube shouldnt get hot when rolling forward at a roundabout at 15mph

Plus its done this since new, so not wear and tear so it is covered by warrenty

Next time it goes in refuse to take it back & cause a big scene, make flyers documenting the amount of problems you have had with the car & dealer & how many times you have been back with it....hand them out to folk on the forecourt.

no, the lube get s hot once, burns away, pads are glazed hence noise

like i say i seriously cant see them doing it, they will put it down to your driving, having it happen to 3 sets of pads and disks is strange

Go in with your panda car & arrest the sales man for wasting police time with the amount of visits you had to make over it

Will have £1500 negative equity to pay...If I hand it back this will be cancelled

There is logic to my plan

Also cant say its my driving style cause that how I was trained by the Police Driving School

Just you go out in the main street of any town and you can hear loads of cars that have squeaking brakes. Thought it was one of things that you cant do anything about, just how it is kind of thing?

Fiat issued Modified pads if you had a problem - no recall.

But the modified pads are also reubbish.

Local dealer was telling me that ther parts department are trying to source stuff from local motor factors rather than using Fiat cause customers are getting pissed off
