Well here goes with my car history:
Bought the car as a standard Breeze, then soon ater fitted my private plate:
Went out and got some alloys (not the right thing to do first but hey...)
...did the carbon fibre effect inside which is still there to this day and fitted some SRi clocks:
...also, being a young lad without enough cash for a full exhaust, ended up with a screw on one ()
...which was replaced very quickly with a BB2 that I found lying around at a scrap yard as the standard back box had rusted off...
Then as I pulled onto the drive one day, my standard NS front spring sheared, so faced with either £80 for two standard fronts from vaux or the same for Gmax -40s, I went for the Gmax. Just after that, I got hold of a cat back Sebring exhaust, and the car arrived at this point:
Oh yeah, lost my mind and put some Lexus lights on too
Moving swiftly on, got my first Irmscher bumper from Will at Amavi for the princely sum of £20, just needed the tow hole filling and smoothing:
and once I had the money, the front airdam arrived too:
So I learnt spraying, and did the arches and bumpers:
...fitted some Cav GSi brakes with the help of a mate:
...the mini moto "install" also arrived about this time:
And that's how it stayed til I got hold of a Steinmetz spoiler (courtesy of Capatin Dave Roscoe)
around the same time I started on the interior retrim too,
and sourced a great set of Calibra leathers with Cav Turbo headrests from Koolkorsa soon after:
which tied in nicely with the steering wheel, gear knob, gaiter and all the other little bit's I'd fitted previously:
and the blue lighting which Rob B gave me for my 21st
Then I replaced the by now tired shocks with some nice Bilsteins, though they didn't give up without a fight
The Christmas after that, the angel eyes and LED rears arrived, so they went on too:
And I decided to treat M16 to a new set of wheels, the last set of 16" RSL Concept Pros in anthracite for a Corsa I believe:
...followed by a nice set of E46 replica mirrors from Adam B:
...and after a bit of trading with M Sutton, he got some standard mirrors and I got a debadged grille with Irmscher badge, which was fitted at a WM meet
Then everything stopped for a few months, until I got hold (finally) of some Irmscher skirts:
...and I decided to fit them, some post 97 bump strips and do all the other niggly bits that needed sorting too:
And we finally get to where it is today:
That was all good for a few months, then I had the engine disaster:
So after a full top end rebuild, including porting and polishing ( ), it still wouldn't start Eventually traced that to a single dodgy wire and now it runs fine
Having said that, the fuel tank is leaking, so that needs fixing too now Also have to fix the wing mirror that some bastard kicked off and the bump strips that the paint's come off from. That's owning a modified car for you though

Im not planning to mod any more, just going to fix what needs fixing and then get something better later.

I think the interior is the best mod Ash, and it's impressive that you've done it all yourself

Update time:
Fitted the fuel tank as mentioned above a few months ago, that was a ballache but hey, made my Boxing Day 2006 go quicker
Swapping pump from old to new tank:
Shiny
Tried to kid myself that the chassis rails are ok for now But need doing sharpish.
So to the present, decided to finally sort my mirrors, hadn't found time to fit the new ones since some twat kicked them off the night before Trax.
Luckily the baseplates were completely intact, so removed the one remaining mirror and cleaned the plates up, then fitted them to the new mirrors - which are the same style as the old ones but have the swivel away function, might make em harder to knock off :fingerscrossed:
Primered up and sprayed, then realised that my paint stock seems to have gone off/settled or something, as the first coat has come out a lovely dark blue It's almost Ford Imperial... looks nice actually, might get the whole car done that way
First coat on and drying off (apologies for blurry pics) :
Comparison against old mirror for colour:
...can see there's quite a big difference so off to NRP for more paint tomorrow and then I can carry on with it Thursday.
[/update]
