if the above is true then im gettin one!! info taken from wikipedia it did used to list the corsa with the same 1.6 from the meriva vxr but it has been updated to this spec?

agreed, they wouldnt make it faster than the astra vxr as then the astra would lose its deseriability. I personally think it will be a 2.0 n/a or a downtuned version of the z20 let.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VXR info taken from here i dont beleive it too but its here and wasnt when i last looked about a month ago!!

i doubt they'd put the 2.2 n/a in it as the fuel econemy in them is ridiculous.

If it was due on sale in Jan 2007 we would know what the final specs were before now.

Your not going to pre-order your new corsa VXR without knowing what engine etc its going to have.
