This has been posted on AstraSport by Paul from Regal, there has been a fair few threads recently regarding the Diblas turbo conversions for the astra G and H and Paul posted this up, just for our interest really. I thought it would be good info for you lot
You might have seen the Astra G Z16XE turbo that was posted up.

Here's the cars evil step brother!

Brought down to us at the exact time as the green Astra we had a lot of the astra guys that came down during the time it was here pretty excited about it, so i thought I'd post details.

Started life as a stock Z12XEP twinport car with a performance exhaust system on it.

While it was down here at Regal it had the full Dbilas package fitted to it along with SRI front brakes and a full set of gauges (air/fuel, oil temp and boost) to keep it nice and safe.

The car pulled 158bhp on our dyno. I didn't drive the car myself but the guys in the workshop that did said it was awesome. We've got a video of the dyno run on the camera. I'll get that up on Youtube or something soon. speedo goes all the way to 140mph and just sits on the peg.

here's some photos of the dyno run and the car's engine bay and of course the dyno run sheet:

What do you reckon then?
its regal, its normal practice to have to deduct 20% from their power claims

look at the torque, a 1.2 will never produce 126lb/ft of torque.

xe makes around 140 doesnt it?? (from 2.0)
even minus 20%, this still seems fishy for a 1.2 does it not??

i would want to see it on a independant rolling road, as its a Regal Kit there going to over read it.......

Z12XEP is 75bhp as standard
Bolt a turbo and inlet on and you gain 83bhp

Some one needs to Contact Regal about this, and see weather they can sort out a 1/4 run Vs a standard Corsa XE

They did there 1.8sri Corsa C with a bolt on kit which they said made 260bhp......

I think its to get all the young drivers who can not affored bigger engines a hope for massive power. Remember a post on MIG where one place said they could re-map there Corsa C's and gain them 20-30bhp

I would say it would be about 120bhp'ish for a bolt on Low Boost (as i am sure the standard internals would melt with anything more) and Enlargen Inlet.

UNLESS it has a Massive turbo (which i can not see it having )

funny how the poeple that have there own companies seem to be knocking the kits and figures.

At the end of the day its bolt on stuff that is very very common in Europe Dblias are selling by the truck full over there.

Its not a regal product its a regal instalation.
