my girlfriend is looking for a new car. she has looked at alot of cars including
fiesta
corsa
clio
we both didnt think much of the clio tbh, felt cramped and the interior was a bit shit i thought.
anyway she likes the corsa c sri though it is a bit pricey and she would have to save a bit more. for £3,000 she can probably get a 01/02 plate zetec s.
thing is we dont know anything about them, this may be a shared car with me so it would be nice to mod it a bit.
whats the difference between the corsa c 1.4 sri, 1.6 clio and 1.6 zetec s 0-60 and top speed ect.

Fiesta would be quicker than the Corsa.
http://www.parkers.co.uk - use that to find out the figures.

As said, they are quicker, better handing, and will surely hold its price better than a corsa (just a guess, if wrong, correct, not flame)

id go for the corsa c sri, my c sri handled very well. three of my mates had fiesta zetec-s, all started to rust. two of them took them back under manufacturers warrenty, my other mate sold his sharply when he realised.

my mates got a zetec s, drove it the other day and it handles really well and feels quite quick, but the interior isnt the best i found it really cramped, the corsas is much nicer

If its speed your after, imo a mk2 vtr is noticably quicker than a zetec s having driven/owned them, i also prefer the saxo on every other level, didnt like how the fiesta was to drive at all!
As for corsa c never driven one, quite heavy though aren't they in comparison?
Also Saxo's are amazingly cheap 02 plate vtr, average miles, 3grand easy.

accordint o parkers they arent actually faster then the 1.4sri, its like half a sec to 60mph difference and top speed is probably the same.
however i dotn know how fast the fiesta would get to 100 compared to the corsa.

They'll both take forever .
Test drive them both, see which you like best. Corsa is a bigger car compared to the Fiesta, depedns if that's a good thing to you or not though, i found them to be as cramped as the 106/saxo TBH.
More tuning potential from the Zetec-S though for sure.
Should be able to get a X/Y/51/02 plate SRi for the same price as a Zetec S i'd have though?

yes i will test both i think to see what we prefer.
there are so many cars to chose from.
we did look at a few fiats but tbh we never see them around anywhere much and have had alot of people saying they are quite crap overall

id go for the 1.4sri. look nice as standard, not slow either (in regards to your choice of three cars) i think these 1.4's are under estimated. and with a few touches can look alot nicer than all three. my mate had a zetec s and he said he had trouble losin the 1.4
up to you tho mate

Mate that could happen to any car. My oil light didn;t come on until it was basically empty (I know everyone, I should have checked) She must have got a rough as fuck fiesta. as I know a few lads who have/had them and had no problems what so ever.

my mate has a zetec s and it's an ace little motor, handles very well and isn't much slower than my 106. but is any of this relevant to her???? My mates 1.4 c sri was fit, in blue, spax coilies on std wheels and it looked the tits, was fairly nippy.
