There's loads of mk3s about really cheap, and about 31231423 LETs in the classifieds...

what do they go like, what do they cost to run, and what is involved in putting the LET in a late one? (a sport, 1996 sort of age)

who on here has had one?

my old man had a late sport and even that was a quick car!

but the handling is shocking, he had a full adjustable konis set up on it and it was still like a boat! really lets down what could be a quick fun car!

same here, my bro had a standard astra Mk3 X20XeV, Went well with just a stainless 4-2-1 manifold, now he got throttle bodies goes even better But as above....

They handle like wank they reall are poor and if you push them you really feel there gona let go, Never had this with the corsa and that was running Shity Gmax down 60mm but the Whiteline rear bar made a massive difference

think of it this way, when fitting an xev in a corsa, you buy the same mount kit as you would for an xe....
they wouldn't change chassis mounts, when changing the type of engine, more cost affective....

which means the mounts should be the same, will just need the big block mounts

also wiring - if its not plug and play, it should be about 6 or so wire, not difficult to wire up

my dad and i co own an astra cd 1.8 16v and its a nippy little number,

what a difference to tha handling after fitting lowered shockers and springs,

my mate has a c20let astra and its very fast, didnt keep up with my corsa though,

there biggest downpoint is handling though, they're cack, as i said my one handled a lot better but i wouldnt go chucking it round corners

my mate's sisters husband!!!!!!!!! It's true, has one, not ure if he is on migweb, but his is running near 400bhp, i think it's off the road atm, keeps on blowing things up, really nice though, someone must know of it, it has TJS on the wings which are his initials, and it's a pearl white one.

Do it Robin,

i want to do my phase 2 gsi to LET power eventually as i miss my old one..

used to beat alsorts of cars evo 6 TME, evo 8, scoobs, type R's, astra mk4 turbo etc etc!

i had full adjustable konis and the handling wasnt that bad after being set up properly! got some bilsteins on my new astra but wana get front and rear braces also...

please dont touch a phase 1 mk3 astra as most are pretty rotten, get a decent phase 2 GSI and build it yourself

I'd buy a pineapple yellow sport, or brocade yellow maybe... or that funky metallic grey/black/purply colour.
