Well About Sept i brought myself a 1.4sri corsa 8v (sadly not 16v) It ran like a dream when i brought it so i paid for it and picked it up the next week, had some rust and dents (nothing major)

However went back up the next week from Nottingham to Rotherham to pick it up. Paid fully, signed paper work, someone drove the car round from the back. Heard a little bump. Went outisde to find a nice dent in my cars boot

Also fitted a Remus cat-back pipe with a magnex oval backbox

Next step having fun putting new wing/bonnet/boot on the car etc

Off with the old! on with the new!

Next step new bonnet and wing + scuttle pannel

(nice rusty subframe - Plays abig part later) Don't have any new pics with them all on atm (will put some up)

So off to the M3's

So after this i brought myself a Wide body kit, for some reason i liked it.

So took it down to the bodyshop and left it there for 2 weeks!

(front with a new subframe if not mistaken)

Yes cheap o angel eyes! will do for now also have lexus rear but lost the pic lol.

so! i picked the car up, had it back 20mins? driving down the M1...Bang, engine warning lights come on, look under the car and my rads dropped and water is everywhere to my horror a 5inch hole in the front subframe! gobsmacked at this point.

So Brought a new rad + subframe and sorted that out, to then find my head gasket had gone! talk about luck!

So fixed that as well...half the fund to my paint job gone so that sucked.

Now it's back on track alloys new fitted just need to move my exhaust

Now the reason im moving my exhaust - it doesnt work well with bodykits

Next step would be - Paint work (purple) Some engine work (re-tuning etc) Then getting ready for Mfn and doing something on the inside.

Thats all the pics i can find for now

Hrm if i can find a pic of the colour i will, it's a dark purple, candy i do believe, with some black here and there. Carbon hood, spacing and lowering the kit soon so don't worry about that

Getting some new brakes and getting a new pipe cut for the exhaust. Should have those bits done by feb hopefully

If you manage to do all that it could make a decent show car!

Nice project there... Should look quite cool when you have finished it all off

Just some advice for if you do it again. You should really save up until you can get everything done in one go, rather than having it done in bits like this. The primer and filler wont take kindly to be soaked and covered in crap for long periods of time.

Also, get some pacers for those wheels! You might need something costom made up though to get them to the right offset Which is something like ET30 or ET28!

should look awesome, dont think its so bad that its a 1.4 8v, i had 1 for my first and it was a brilliant car, and was more than a match for my mates 1.4 16v sport, used to kill him off the line lol

Not a fan of over the top body kits, but i still like what you have done. You need to lower it though.

I can get my bumpers off! Wanted my back one off but one of the screws has seized on and wont come off.

Well list of things to come and maybe the order -

1.Moving exhaust.
2.Paintwork depending on friends might be end of jan. This include bodywork repair where the exhaust was.
3.Lowering+spacing out the alloys to fit better
4.New front brakes
5.Been offered a rear disk conversion for £80 again from a friend

6.Drilling my air box/new filter with a cold air feed + 4 branch manifold.

then onto the inside

Shopping list gone up Jay? (ie rear break conversion)

Might be worth checking if you can just put on 40mm lowering springs or if you should look at the ful coilover change? Maybe members can advise if you are likely to get a handling benefit if you do the full lowering conversion? Perhaps look at cost -v- benefit.

And.... what sort of front discs would be best do you think? Any thoughts m8t's?
