After many many threads about this car and its lack of performance etc I have posted some vids to show its not a slow car but at the same point it does have limitations

Vid is against a Cupra R that has been chipped to 265 BHP

As you can see it doesn't do too bad

Again they are not a slow car and I'm not the greatest fan of them but at least it gives some visual aspect

CTR is standard and sorry if these vids have been seen/posted before

Ctr's are a good car. Its just that people big them up too much. I suppose its the same the 106 gti's and so we could talk about ctr's and 106's till the cows come home.
Personnally if i had the cash then a ctr would be on the list, far better in my eyes than fords ST range.

CTR is a slow car for the price usually only 185 bhp on a RR
My Subaru cost the same and improve perfomance to 250 bhp just with a chip
The difference in perfomance is astonishing and the Civic looks like a Corsa 1.0 when raced again the SUb

one is a hot hatch one is a performance rally based car

You can buy a faster can that both for as little as 4K.

Do not base speed on price that is a stupid comment.

And your scooby price new?
And the Type R?

Its jsut the bandwagons boys that jump on about them being bad. Aye, soem are driven by idiots, but helloooooooooooooo, look at Corsas???? Look at BMWs, look at Saxos, all cars get driven by tits.

Hell theres even a Porkie GT Carrera being driven like a plonker posted yesterday.

ITs the people, not the car. CTR's are good.

Prefer the Teggy though Boom....

My opinion of them changed slightly when I went out in my mates, they have a raw feeling to them which I like, he said that to make them go you have to rag but he enjoys that.

I don't like sticking up for the CTR but... was the CTR not quicker round the Top Gear test track than a Subaru Impreza?

Not an STi Impreza BTW

My Subaru was a 1998 MY with 250 bhp...
ITR with 180 bhp at the time were slow as hell and just compare the weight with the CTR...

The civic just needs more power to be a really fast car.

I also had an S3 with 245bhp great top speed and refined car but...slow due to the 1500 kg

Why are you comparing the handling of a FWD car to that of a 4WD car?

Because I had to pay the same money in my country for a FWD car like the civic or a Scooby with 4wd
Isn't that value for money?
