how old are you guys and whats your insurance like

im 20 next month with no no claims and 1 accident in 2005 and no convictions but im currently insured with my mum for around 500 pounds on a 1.2 8v and im just wondering if i got my own insurance an xe it what i could be expecting to pay

No chance, get your self on your own insureance on your car for a year,
this is what i am doing.
All so i can change me engine lol

ive been driving since october 04 aswell, just got a quote on it as is for 80 pound a month (931.35) fully comp from directline using online bonus and with my dad being insured with them

im 20, 1yrs ncb, 2not at fault claims, fully declaired for £1300 tpft (wont insure me fc on it till im 21) with adrian flux

at 22 with 2 years NCB and a non fault claim I was paying £1450 fully comp

now 25 4 years NCB 436 fully comp

When insuring do you have to insure it as i conversion ? I got told that would put the insurance up more.

wonderboy - my broker I just told them what engine i put in, when I was with tesco it was like, list the mod and tell us the increase, so i was like

uh engine conversion, it worked out at something like 150% increase in performance

Im 18, just passed test, 1.4sri with mods insurance knows about everything - £880 i do believe went up £88 when i passed my test, but will soon lower with extra driving stuff. But thats Fully comp, my own insurance, only named driver.

I cant complain.

Doesnt the new price depend on what car the XE is out of? ie, i heard that a corsa with an XE from a Cavalier is cheaper to insure than an XE from an Astra? Not too sure on this, im sure I heard it somewhere
