When its really cold I usually wear some small socks, then, when my feet are warm put a sanrie bag over that then the shinpad, then footie sock.
Might sound daft but it keeps your feet warm and shops them getting wet

Your feet definately would not be cold if you were running around as you would in a game?? Im confused why your feet would be cold...even if they were...5 mins of running about and they should be warm...
Under my socks I wear elasticated bandages going from half way down my foot to just below my knee (top of socks)...mainly to keep my shin pads (slip ins) up but also as they offer some support to your ankles...have wore them for years...

I don't wear any socks under my football socks.
My feet and head are usually the warmest part of me with hands being the coldest!
Used to do the same thing with bandages.
Don't have a clue how u can get. Also this has beena mild winter!

Since about the age of 12 I have always worn 2 pairs of footy socks with the skinpads between the two.
It was mostly to keep warm when i was young (being a keeper its very possible to get cold feet when playing crap teams)
Now its more through habbit. It feels strange with only a single sock on.

i wear normal socks underneath anyway so my boots are tighter, my feet seem to get ripped to shreds otherwise.

i did start wearing an extra pair of socks to stop blisters etc but i don't have that problem with my new boots as they are alot more comfortable. Also when i wear 2 pairs of socks I can't feel the ball as much so lose my touch a bit.
