I sold my old Corsa Flair after near enough finishing me little project with that thing as it was getting old (L reg) and had too many niggly problems.

So last week (14th Jan 07) I brought a Corsa Sport 1.6 16v on a T plate. Totally bog standard bar a back box, 2 owners, FSH, everything is as good as immaculate and it runs sweet as a nut! Engines mega quiet and smooth. Really good buy, only thing I aint too keen on is it's red

Obviously with it being a bit bog standard it's gotta be changed Everyones saying my old Flair was SO much nicer looking.. hmm lol.

So here it is now and the plans I've got for it. I've currently just derestricted and drilled the airbox and fitted a K&N panel filter in too.

=======================

(EDIT: spec list updated as stuff is done! Last update 29/09/08)

Car Info:

- Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.6, Red, 1999 T plate

Engine and Transmission:

- 1.6 16v Vauxhall X16XE engine
- Drilled and de-restricted airbox
- K&N panel air filter
- Powerflow custom exhaust centre section with reduced silencer
- Magnex back box with oval 5x3" tail pipe

Suspension:

- GMax SuperSport uprated and shortened shock absorbers
- Gmax SuperSport 60mm rear springs
- Custom uprated 45mm front springs
- Modified front bumpstops

Brakes:

- Corsa Sport/GSi 1.6 spec calipers
- 256mm drilled, grooved and vented front brake discs
- EBC Green Stuff front brake pads

Wheels and Tyres:

- GM 6x15" Cavalier GSi alloys
- 195/45 low profile tyres

ICE:

- Pioneer DEH-P4900IB Head Unit
- GM front tweeters
- Alpine Type S SPS-13C2 5-1/4" front speakers
- JBL GTO 75.2 amp
- JBL GT5 12" sub in vented (tuned to 33Hz) 1.75 cu/ft box
- Autoleads 8 AWG wiring kit, head unit ISO loom and front door mounts

Security:

- Standard Vauxhall alarm, immobiliser and deadlock system

Exterior & Interior:

- Osram Silverstar bulbs and Xenon style sidelights
- Replacement de-badged grille
- Replacement numberplates (three quarter size front plate)
- Smoked side repeaters
- Shortened black "bee sting" aerial
- GM rear mudflaps
- Debadged bootlid and doors
- Custom fit Vauxhall floormats

Plans:

NONE now

Pics:

And this is what it's gotta live up to I spose:

Just need to choose some wheels, really can't decide! I think it's coming down to Cav GSi, Tigra (and some Calibras) 5 spoke 15" alloys, Cav Cesaro alloys in black with 195/45 tyres. Not too keen on anything aftermarket!

cheers mate, aye it'll grow on me aslong as I wax it regularly! lol

i spose i may debadge it too keep it a bit smoother, quite liking the idea of some 16" softstars but I dont really wanna go that big for slowing me down! lol

next step has to be lowered though, the standard suspension is far too soft good laugh tho

Quite like the idea of Astra GLS/CDX rims again like I had on my old 1.4 Flair, did a quick photoshop - whatcha think?

New pics soon when it's lowered and washed hehe it's filthy at the mo.

looks a lot tougher lowered 60mm, needs new wheels though hehe.. quick pic (excuse the filthyness! will wash it soon)

Had a powerflow custom centre section done today, reduced silencer and slightly reshaped to avoid backbox hitting the back axle... really nice job and sounds lovely, i'm glad i didn't put my remus pipe on!! lol

took the smoked lights off the spec list as I might stick with the standard stuff and silver wheels afterall as i'm totally skint and wanna keep cash towards next car in a year or so.. turbo power is needed but im liking me new corsa @ the mo will wash it asap and get some pics up and hopefully vids of the sound etc

yeah i've been thinking of doing that, smoked lights but definitely keeping the rubbing strips on the side, the car above looks a little plain without them to me.. but otherwise thats stunning!

quite pleased with mine for now.. get subs in the boot to get the back a bit more level and it's all good lol

cheers for the positive comments guys
