Anyone with any knowledge, please post your BHP estimates on the following: -
X16XE - 57,000 Miles
Mantzel Powerbox
Stage 2 Ported and Polished head, Knife edged ports
Courtenay High Torque cams
Janspeed Ex. Manifold and De-Cat.
No re-map as of yet, funds have dried up. Car is going on the rollers tomorrow hopefully.
I'm hoping for over 135, what do you reckon?

be lucky to get that with no remap. Mine was similar spec (without ported head and decat)and remap got it to 134bhp iirc
without remap the cams/mantzel wont reach its potential

I realise that topshot, I need a re-map desperatley, may get the credit card out Also, the cams are designed with torque in mind, not BHP, so this may not help.

My dad had trouble with Sainsbury's super in his M3, changed to Optimax and it runs fine now. Just thought you might like to know

With that kit on the X16XE you should use Shell 100 octane fuel

shell now do 100
Use it! The ECU in the X16XE knows what RON fuel you have it there, its a clever fucker.
Uses data from the knock sensor

Isn't 100 only available in a few places? I'm sure theres only a few garages down south that sell it.
Us poor northeners can't affor dit.

I first saw it in Birmingham, but now its spread all the way to Aberystwyth. I swear by the stuff mate.
I have seen 1/4mile tests where a car drops quater of a second just by using higher octane fuel lol
