I just upgraded my Sky package to include the movie channels, does anyone know how long it takes before I start receiving my movie channels?
I did it online and on the email confirmation it just says I am being billed the new package price from now but I will get sales confirmation letters in the next few days?

£160 - but tell Sky you're thinking of going to NTL (or whoever is in your area) and getting cable TV because as much as you want Sky+ £160 is too expensive, they should then offer it to you for £49 - just like they did to me a couple of weeks ago, it was fitted last week and I love it! Sky+ rules!
Make sure you speak to the disconnection people and they have to hear you say you are considering leaving sky and going with a rival for them to offer you the discount though.

I can't get NTL here so I don't think that would work for me!
Does anything need to be done to the dish or does the Sky+ box just simply replace the old normal one?

So all you do is just plug and play? LOL
Do you have to tell Sky you have it or anything?
Where did you get yours from, Kerrington?

You need a new LMB (the thing that goes on the dish, you need a twin cable to come from LMB to your Sky+ box (to recieve two sky signals rather than just the one) and of course you need the Sky+ box, then your Sky viewing card has to be all setup to your new box via Sky on the phone.
NTL isn't avaliable in your area but here must be a cable TV provider? A quick Google search says Telewest, so ring Sky and tell them you are going to go with Telewest - bish bash problem solved.

LNB and there are loads of areas with no cable provider.
Whether sky would check or not i'm not sure.

Yes it is - but if you don't have one of them and pay the extra £10/month then you may aswell subscribe to one of them as it works out pretty much the same.

Telewest is the cable provider but I can't get that where I live (even though I am a 10 minute walk away from the town centre LOL)!
Sounds easier just to pay the £99 and get a brand new box and the engineer dude to come install it with the new LNB etc?
