Southend-on-sea is South East's turf, its also one of the biggest regular cruise spots on a Saturday night. this guide is for those of you who fancy coming along but have no bloody idea whats going on.

Typically there will be at least 2-3 members of the South East region attending Southend on a Saturday night, so you have no excuses not to come!

Let me begin with the meeting place.

The Venue

Google Maps: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=KJ%27s+cafe,+Southend-on-Sea,+Essex,+United+Kingdom&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=19&ll=51.533193,0.704292&spn=0.00118,0.002511&t=k&om=1

When a Southend meet starts it starts at KJ's Cafe, there you will find two old ladies and a poor lad serving tea until late, you can also purchase chips, burgers, sausages and the forbidden donuts. Lets not forget the hot chocolate either!

You can find this place near the far end of the strip (opposite end from the arcades and stuff). Its a few hundred yards away from the Westcliff Casino.

Procotol says you get as close as possible to KJ's to park up then locate your nearest CS member.

But who do you look out for?

Real Name: Steven
Drives: Irmy 1.6 Corsa Sport

What do we do there?

The majority of people who arent with CorsaSport (ie. mortals) go up and down the seafront to show off their motors, typically we all park up and meet up at KJ's where we exchange banter about other members and ongoings on the board. In the more warmer months we walk up to the arcades bit to see the other cars and catch some fish and chips

When things get on abit (10/11pm) we travel up the A127 to the Basildon McDonalds which is open all night long. If you get there early enough you can park up and get a second cup of Hot Chocolate from mcds, and maybe some nuggets too. We also exchange banter here, but in the warmth of the yellow M.

After all of this some of us go to the Basildon Strip which the supposed 'Street Racing' happens (CS does not condone street racing in any shape or form).. In all honesty I've yet to see any racing, what happens is people drive up and down this long road in the Industrial estate, typically the Police are there and every now and then they 'close' the strip by blocking it halfway. Legend has it they normally piss off and it all starts up again in an hours time.
