ok... a few months ago i bought i M plate Corsa "swing" of Chris Bingham on here. Bargain price too.
Went to see the car and its a minter for the age with low miles too!
Its pretty much sat in my garage doin nothing and gathering dust!
but... today the work started, after my Sport was written off by my mate i've been stripping it. A prefect start for my project.
i stripped everything from the inside of my Sport and started to transfer across.
Heres the pics of how it was when i got it and todays progress.
Plenty of parts in here..... boxies of stuff, should be everything i need and more!
Todays progress.... interior stripped out and my sport interior in.. looks much better imo.
Had a bit of a prob with the rear seat, since my sport interior was out of my W plate and the "swing" is a M plate it doesnt have a split rear seat.
the holes werent in the floor to bolt the new seats in place so we did the next best thing and re-covered the original seat back with the split Sport ones. turned out like this....
Looks good, you would never tell by looking at it.... untill you go to move the seat forward and its all one!!
Also the front seats werent too straight forward either, as the other car was in a crash the seat belt tensioners had went off these had to be swaped....
not too bad, good prgress the day....
Next i really need to get the engine back out (its only there on 2 front mounts atm) cleaned up and painted then stuck back in, wired, plumbed up and ready to go.
Once thats done the exterior can comence!
Keep you posted...........

Yeah, so it is!
Memories......of being freezing cold, grazed knuckles and generally not being arsed to work on it.

Well... its been a long time coming this one, an finally got a round to doin more on this wee thing.
Fisrt up was to take the engine out and clean it up.
Engine was removed, cleaned and checked over.
New gaskets had been fited to the engine so after make sure everything was spot on a quick lick of paint to finish it off and it was back in.
after that it was time to sort out the sunspension and brakes.
When i bought the car it came with brand new 2ltr dics and pads and and a set of 2ltr calipers.
These were fired on.
Only problem was the suspension, again this came with the car but on looking at it i wouldnt stick it on any car never mind one of mine.
So, quick search on the net and some cash and we have new shocks and springs. Lowered 45mm all round or so it says. Looks lower to me.
Still a bit to do but here is how it stands at them moment, gave it a good clean an polish and its come up really good. Got a set of Cav Gsi rims for it that are gettin refurbed the now and hopefull a set of post bumpers. Already have a GSi/SRi spoiler for it and that should finish off the exterior.
Inside i've fitted post Sport interior and door cards, this has all be finished off now.
Cars coming along nicely and should be goin in for a MOT next week or so.
After that its up for sale she goes..
pics of how the car is now... right wee stealth machine!!
Comments welcome..

Glad to see how far its come mate, you've done a great job, far better than I could have done given the circumstances. It went to the right home
Any chance of a run in it sometime? See what I missed out on!

Cheers for the comments folks, love the way it looks on the 14' sport wheels. Might leave them, im not sure!
