2 totally different consoles that will offer you different ways of gaming.
Is it for yourself or for kids? Do you prefer more serious games or do you like fun-orientated games?

its a good laugh aslong as youve got the room, good for a few of ur mates to play on.
i had one and got bored so i sold it at a time where i made 80% profit on it. id get one again when they bring some better games out.

The fact that 90% of recording/foley/ADR studios, television (BBC/CH4 and ITV certainly do) and film editing/production and graphic studios use macs, clearly shows that you know absolute fanny adams about macs in the professional world

buy one then can pick up a decent PPC G5 for 500 quid of ebay, dual 2.5Gigs PPC (powerpc) G5's go for around 700 quid, and atleast they work out of the box
Currently saving for a quad 2.5/.7 Gig PPC G5 for music and film production
Oh and like said, wii are bloody brilliant but they are only decent when you got mates around having a few beers

My mate has a Wii, and gotta say i really like it.
He's got Wii sports which is good for a laugh, and fucking knackering when you do the boxing as well. I was sweating like a twat after about 15 mins of playing it.
At the moment, there's not too many games that use the hardware very well IMO tho. Zelda did it relatively well tho.
He bought Monkey Ball the other day, was amazing on the Gamecube and even dare i say the PS2, but the controls with the wii are really sketchy and made it pretty crap unfortunately Used to love Monkey fights after a couple of beers

in which case i don't understand why you're saying there 2nd rate, tacky etc?
The new intels are shite (i've had lots of problems with them) and i can understand that they have become a bit of a trendy tossers accessory with the ipod 'n' all but still, they work - which is a lot more than i can say with a windows pc.
I have 3Ks worth of HD Protools system that refuses to work properly on a windows pc thats around a grands worth, yet on an old G4 (1Gig system), about 350 quid, it works perfectly...go figure
Dave - u2u
and back to topic, wii's are only good if having a piss around with your mates, but there a bit cack when on your tod

I played on my mates, was'nt too impressed really. Sensor did'nt pick up movements too well, he may have just had it in the wrong place though. Graphics were pretty lame, overall I was'nt that impressed.
