yet its odd how companies like Adobe, Digidesign, Emagic, Avid were originally mac only (well logic still is) and all of them certianly run a lot better on a mac than any pc.
Agreed that the new intels are cack though, the PPC processor was a lot lot better than any CISC intel/AMD cack

My Vista PC is faster than the Macs I use
Why on a Mac do you have to put your CD or floppy in the bin to eject it? Wierd.

Yep, you drag the Floppy Drive/CD Drive icon over to the recycle bin and out it pops. Confused me the other day as there were no buttons on the Mac i was using to open the CD drawer

press apple+e...does the same or hold ctrl+left-click (right mouse click if you have a 2 button mouse) and select eject.
CD-drawer - use the key on the keyboard.....
and topshot, the fact that i have 3ks worth of protools gear (industry standard recording equipment) that refuses to run under windows (apparently it does and i've tried it on 5 different systems, ranging from intel to amd with different motherboards and chipsets) without errors popping up all over the show, is a good reason why i want a mac, as it works flawlessly...no problems what so ever. I dont want 3ks of hardware that is a paper weight
Plus, for me, theres a lot of software that i need (isn't anything similar for windows) that doesn't run on a windows pc or if it does its shite and buggy (ie: protools, ceillia etc).
Eitherway, it's what ever you get used to and what you need to do your job properly.
As for vista, personally it looks buggy as hell and you need to have an upgrade to make it useable to any degree.

My experiences of vista so far aren't of it being buggy at all.
Been using it since it went rtm.

Yes. And there's definitely no features that have been introduced in recent Apple OSes that were features in Windows first. Or features in either that were available to Linux systems first. Time Machine, Spaces and Spotlight were all in one or the other before OS X under different names.
If it's seen to be a good idea, or a useful feature then it's going to get implemented by other companies in their products. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. However, Microsoft are the big evil corporation whereas Apple never make a step wrong. It's quite sad that a lot of Mac users have some twisted view that their computers are all original and totally invincible. A poorly maintained Mac will suffer from similar issues to a poorly maintained Windows computer.
I use OS X and Vista daily (I am infact currently on my Mac, connected to Vista via RDC) and I wouldn't say that either is outright better than the other. OS X is better in some areas, Vista in others.

yes
but there ARE virus's out there which also attack mac, Linux, etc... there just not as wide-spread or are more of a directed attack to a particular system.
