Anyone fitted one and taken photos? Just after a bit of a simple fitting guide for the C16XE really.

p.s. i hate the name 'power boost valve', how maxpower does that sound!?

Are these regulators adjustable?

I got this from sri power. Cheers by the way.

this is the adaptor plate i meant which on mine goes into my injector rail then the pipe that comes of it goes to the top of the fpr


then the return pipe wich was originally on the fuel rail goes to the bottom of the fpr.the fuel in pipe is never touched as it works off back pressure

yeh you will need an adaptor but there are diferent ones depending if your original fpr is internal or external.

they are useless on a standard engine or any engine using a standard ecu.

I see loads of cars with them fitted that have fuelling problems. take them off and replace with standard and they always run fine.

How the hell do people set them up without some way of measuring what they are doing?

At least i can hook my car up to the gas reader at work and just turn up/down the fuel pressure till lambda is more how i like it.

Sounds abit dangerous to me. They should really sell them with a gauge so you can actually see what psi the regulator is set to

robin is correct they ten to adjust the fuel pressure all by themselfes.

I think marketing them as a 'Power Boost' valve is more dangerous than not telling people to use a gauge really.

Bought one of ebay 2nd hand. The guy said "it added an extra 19bhp"

Almost as much as them superchager air filters.

It's meant to improve throttle responce. So you think it has gained HP, but is hasn't.

as dave has said why would you wont to increase fuel pressure if you dont have other engines mods to suit? these are terible with turbo applications to. to answer the original question they go on the fuel return from the rail and are adjustable. they work/dont work by increasing pressure in the rail before fuel is aloud to return to the tank thus putting more fuel through the injectors and messing up your a/f ratio.

My lambda is currently 1.039 so one of these might be a quick fix until i sort the car out properly. It wont be a permanent mod by any means
