i was thinking of buying a tomtom one and i go aboard alot and that can i buy one of these covers aboard as well as the uk i wont one basical all in one tomtom.
i have heard u can down load summart to get the traffic and speed cameras and that whats the best tom tom to get which covers aboard as well cheers and the price i be willing to pay as well cheers.

no better to get sat nav mate a lot of driveing i do mate and get lost sometimes and finding placers too.

RoadAngel Navigator 6000 is the best money can buy, has alot more features that tomtom's and is cheap aswell

use a tomtom 500/510 (or something?) and it hasn't steered me wrong yet*. it came with a memory card that said "great britain" on it, so i assume you either need a package with "europe" on or the country you'll be travelling to i don't know the ins and outs of them i'm afraid.
*it always gets you there, but not always the fastest route, but sometimes the more scenic route

I got given a free "AA NAVIGATOR VIVE!"..
It can't pick up GPS and I don't know why..

You can buy and download European mapping to install onto it if you need it.

whats the best site to download from so if i buy a sat nav in uk only can i just put on european on it or not cheers

i think its a ase of buying it from the tomtom website and downloading it, then putting it on the tomtom itself. cracks are available but are a complete pain apparently. my boss did it originally on his PDA, don't know whether you'd get away with a crack on an actual tomtom unit.

although on further inspection the map for france is 60 euros
according to the site, the 510 comes with the major roads of Europe on the memory card, the 710 comes with all the roads of Europe, the 910 comes with Europe, the US and Canada

i was looking at the TomTom Go 710 Sat Nav System
itemcode: 353482-0 one covers all seem to be the one to go for at halfords which is at 299 or the tomtom one europe which is at 229
