Just been reading through. Not muppetsports fault at all. Why else would he buy it if not to use it on his engine.

Hope he gets it all sorted and manages to claim enough back to get his engine working again.

I don't understand the people's tireless devotion to the (alleged) seller of the cover. It's a fairly black and white case I'd have thought, why be at such pains to defend someone who clearly doesn't have much of a conscience?

At the end of the day, perhaps pending an engineer's report, an expensive engine has been destroyed by what is a defective part.

If you went to Vauxhall for a new set of cambelt rollers and they supplied you with the notorious plastic ones which later disintegrated and caused a catastrophic failure, it would be their fault as the supplier I'd have thought... same logic applies here.

That's utter bullshit, the way all the mods jumped on him because they know the supplier is fucking ludicrous, the tone of there responses is out of order for a start.

I would agree completely with muppets case (and it's not a biased view) as the simple fact is it should have had instructions to clean it.

I'm sorry but there's pedantic and there's this bloke

'OK, if we're going by the "there should have been a warning" logic, did it say anywhere on the listing that it was intended to be used as a rocker cover? That it was OK to put on an engine?

Or was it sold purely as a powder coated rocker cover?

It works both ways. '

They are so far up there own arses, 'corsasport isn't a serious tuners forum', no it's actually an online community - 'Take a look for advice, ideas and to find people with a similar passion for your car!', just because some members of mig don't posess a sense of humour and are so anal about 'only talking tuning' it does not make this site less credible in doing what it set out to do.

We're not serious because we can't recite the exact angular pitch of the third thread from the bottom on a C20XE head bolt off the tops of our heads.
