I'm going to start building a new engine for my corsa 2.0 16 (20xe) I'm going to have some headwork done and a few other bits and peices. I've got a spare block with coscast head so i need to sell the one in the corsa.
I've got a graph showin 184 bhp for it and 174lb ft of torqe and since then i've put a lexmaul largebore stainless steel manifold and a powerflow exhaust system (both not included in sale) so i'm sure torqe would have gone up a little. I'm going to get it rolling roaded at G force (one of the best dyno's in country as used by rc developments) before i will guarantee bhp.

Here goes with description
20xe from 89 astra gte16v (non Coscast) (84,000 miles aprox)
Fully rebult 40,000 miles ago by local firm EMS
usual bits, big end, small end,water pump, oil pump,
Head rebult by a friend that worked at pro drive at the time and was built there.
New lifters, Valves, bronze valve guides (sbd), ported and polished, skimmed,
Courtenay high lift cams, purple cam cover, yelow spark plug and cambelt cover.
Got receipts for servicing the engine over the years and for guides and cams but nothing for the build only a genuine head gasket kit and valve guides and cams.

Engine has been fuelled on tesco 99 octane, shell optimax and v power and has never had anything lower than esso and bp 97 octane
The engine has been serviced between 1000-3000 mile intervals with genuine vauxhall 10w40,filter, and plugs

The engine sounds sweet. No piston slap, no noisey hydraulics and has been no problems over the passed few years. Its absolutley spot on
Engine temps never go over half way on guage! Pulls hard in every gear
Excelent on fuel, not much off standard up to 3000 rpm

The engine will not come with loom but does include
Standard cam wheels ( Ive been runnin verniers )
sfi box (i've been runnin power cap)
inlet manifold
standard ht leads (i've been runnin magnecore kv85
distributor cap and coil
standard fpr on injector rail (I've fse adjustable fuel pressure regulator)

It pains me to sell because a good couple of thousand pound buying the engine and having it blue printed but due to a new idea of mine forces me to sell.

Its got bags of torqe and shuts tdi's all day long exept 535d bmw and comes on real strong at 4000 rpm.
Took her to trax couple years back and it shut down civic with turbo, vectra gsi, vr6 corrardo and even an evo 6 mitsi could not over take on straights or even round the bends

Offers close to £600 would secure a sale

Ive been told these early non coscasts are strong and came with a light weight crank.
Also being a 20xe as apposed to a c20xe thhis engine was made pre emmission regulation and doesn't need to run cat meaning less stringent co levels.

Its quick in a corsa,
Dont forget these came with mahle forged piston as standard
