had one ages ago but lost it, want something to listen to mainly in the gym and stuff.
Is the best deal still from apple.com/uk? Looking at 4GB for £129 (inc VAT). The 30/80GB ones are tempting but it means spunking another £100 on it and I'm not sure if the video function really appeals to me?
I dunno, talk me into buying something.

Ipod is fine, its just what model to go for, I'm looking at the shuffles but they look wank, 1GB? and no screen... but for £55 I can afford to buy one, fuck it off and not care.
Nano could be the way

May i recommend the Sony NW-E00**
Example
A friend uses one of these for the gym, so small and light...and the battery life

DON'T get a Sony one, all their software is full of bugs, which leaves your computer open to hackers and shite, despite anti-virus/firewall software.
I would look at which model iPod you want, then get the Creative equivalent

I liked ipods till mine just stopped working one day, and ive tried everything. Afte3r doing research online, it looks like apple have hundreds of complaints, and they apparently designed them as a "throw away item" only designed to have a 1 year working life

for the gym i recommend a shuffle, its what I use. Its tiny so doesn't get in the way, and 1 gig is fine.. still holds 200 odd songs. I only have about 30 on mine, all music that motivates me in the gym as thats all i use it for. £55 you can't go wrong

Yeah thast what makes them ace, but not just that there is so many other things that you can do , where as the iPod cant, but the iPod looks loads better.

I'd go with an ipod nano I've had both the first and second gen nano's!
Cheapest place is apple.com/uk and that includes delivery etc.
2gb fill up to easy I wanted the 8gb but ended up buying the red one on release day to find out a month later they released the red in 8gb also
Worth the money IMO, people say itunes / ipods are hard to update etc but its a piece of piss.
