hi all thought id re-write my progress report because I give up after abit and didn’t add much so here go’s
bought my car on 21st jan 2007 and i started work on it straight away
i bought it like this
the 1st mods i done were simple things
removed the smoked rears and put standards there
painted the boot catch star silver to match
fitted smoked side repeaters
cav sri casero 15" alloys in matt black
removed RIPSPEED air filter and put standard on
fitted all my sound system
things i wanted to do were as follows
interior
get Tints & a GSI Steering Wheel
exterior
Colour coding STAR SILVER (bumpers, arches & mudflaps)-SCRAPPED THIS IDEA after a day or 2 
paint wheels either gloss black or gun metal grey
get some Depo Smoked headlights
fit a Fiat Marea Rear wiper
De badgeing on sides
GET Front GM Mud Flaps to match
new Vauxhall griffin badge for the boot button

Wanted to wash it,went up to rob_b's house and give it a once over.i also got his heat gun out and give all the arches a blast over to see if the colour would come back....heres the result

after getting bored of the angel eyes for the simple reason of them making my car look tacky i took them out and replaced them with my crystal lights for the time being due to me not having alot of money for my smoked dfepos i wanted.had a few people say they wanted my crystals but no one coughed up the money

then the postman arrived with my NEW de-badge slatted grill
also got my new 60mm G-MAX spring kit off voyto

then came the gsi wheel i wanted
fitted it with flameredcorsa off this site after doing a swop with this and cash for my crystal headlights
fitted these aswell,purchased off shane2corsa off here
wasnt actually on my list of wanted items but looked really cool so had to have them

was fed up of the dirty engine bay,with hardly any money i decided just to spray the air cover silver to get rid of tacky black paint

then i sold my softstars (dont know why)to a mate and bought some corsa gsi wheels.the original plan was to get some cavalier gsi wheels but when i found some they had shit tyres and i had no money at the time to replace them
so heres the runabouts
decided silver wasnt good so sprayed them
i know most of you wont like them but i do

not been on here in a while to update this thread,since ive been away ive gone premium 
then i went out in my car like a normal day and my engine started ticking
bastard - click here
went to my local mechanic and he took the rocker cover off to find no oil going to the cams in chamber 1 & 2.put some engine flush in my car and told me to drive it
like a prat i listened and went to pick my mate up from work,pulled off.........SNAP
RESULT
snapped cambelt,fooked the cams up,siezed the cam carrier but luckily the head was un harmed
TIME TO TAKE THE ENGINE TO PIECES
at 100k on the engine it was a good time to do so anyway
JUST got back from jnc in nottingham and got a new cam carrier,2 sets of cams and a head as a spare
going to get my headgasket,cambelt,oil and oil filter tomorrow
also i got my centre caps sprayed(well 2 of them which i got off rob_b)
got 3 more coming off sri_davie this week and my mudflaps coming this week aswell
so things to do are as follows

also thought id have ago at spraying,wasnt happy with my boot lock cover being star silver so painted it same as wheels

so it'll have the little i logo on the boot handle?
nice. so it'll hide the imperfections in the paint then? else you might want to tidy it up.

na its the car silouette one for the grill,getting a standard griffin badge for my boot.yeah it should do,looks tidy in the flesh but i see what you mean

That boot handle looks really affective. I don't know if it'll be too ott BUT getting someone to do a photoshop of all the black plastics that colour could be something different! Might be a bit much with the same coloured alloys though!
Apart from that, looks good, and the GSi rims works well!
Much better with the darker Depos on etc!

Thats looking really good mate! I think cav gsi wheels and plastics the same colour as boot handle and it would look the nuts.

my car has now been off the road for 2 weeks due to my cambelt snapping after the cans siezed 
went to jnc( just nova's & corsa's ) in nottingham and picked myself up a new head(although mine is fine),2 sets of cams( 1 spare ) and a cam carrier for a cheap price to get it back on the road.also went to my local car parts place and got all the necessary
head gasket was fine but i though whilst the heads off might aswell change it,cambelt was a definate cause my old 1 had snapped and oil needed changing due to not being changed before i owned it and i put engine flush in it

with my engine broke and my new bits sitting in the garden i got to work rebuilding it
cleaned all the bits up
and got it back together again
ready for fitting tomorrow
