Im a bit out of touch

Whats the best way to haggle the price of a car thats of good condition & theres nothing to pickup on to say needs repaired/replaced?

Also how much is reasonable to get off a car priced at £8750...........Would exprcting to get it for £8k be too much?

Does anyone care about the parkers price any more as its a fair bit less!!

Its an 03 plate mini cooper, private sale.

£8500 will probably be as low it'll go unless the person you're buying it off is in a good mood or desperatly want to get rid of.

Start at £82/8300, £8k will get laughed at, they'll walk away and not bother with you.

climate control

Also haggling on any mini is hard work as its a sellers market at the minute.

The people clever with their money buy a mini one for a lot less and get them chipped to cooper spec or even past cooper spec

Cant believe a mini cooper that cost £11700 in 2003 is still worth 8-9k

Might be better to buy a brand new one then

brand new ones have a huge waiting list which means people have placed orders in order to make profit so finding a new one for list price is not going to happen due to people ordering them and selling them imidiately for profit.

They have some cracking residuals

it is but if you keep an eye on the mini forums cooper interiors come up frequently. I know its spending money but on a car like this its an investment.
