i was originally gonna be spending a lot more on a car...
but things are a bit hetick atm and i need an okayish car quickly!
there seem to be a lot of both of these too around (unfortunately no VTS for sale near me!) so what would you recommend? ive been in a couple of fiestas, i though they were okay...
didnt like the interior but then the VTR is even worse. same speed aint they? ie slow the ones ive seen are both around Ł3.5k...
VTR is mk2, y reg i think and has about 72k miles. the zetec is x reg but dunno the mileage yet!

Zetec S. Then again it is 16v, so I would check insurance against a VTR. That could be the deciding factor.

insurance isnt a problem as long as its under group 16, which they both are by far!

none of the above...
if i was given the option of those 2 and a corsa 1.6 sport i would choose the corsa every time...

Girlfriend has a Zetec-S; I enjoy driving it; it goes reasonably well, handles reasonably well and is an all rounda reasonably good car. Shes had hers colour coded and removed the orange filters in the lamps, lowered 40mm and it really is a nice looking car without being too in your face; subtle mods which you dont notice at first like the slight BB bonnet really suit it.
We often use it for longer trips (as mine is too unpractical); its comfy and with seats down takes everything we need to take

I'd have the Saxo hands down, my brother mate had a Zetec S and it was just nowhere as good to drive.
The Saxo was quicker, cheaper to insure, cheaper to run and returns 40+mpg so its a no brainer IMO.

This is about the VTR which is quicker than the Zetec S and Sport.
VTS is not even comparable in this situation
