savo vts is an insurance group higher or something as the 106 was tested with a passenger, full tank of fuel and luggage.
i think the vts is cheaper to buy aswell, but as everyone has said yes they are the same car

vts is cheaper to buy yes, i think thats partly down to image. Not because its any less of a car. Although the interior of the 106 with half leather alacantra is probably a bit better than the vts's

The Only thing that is different is the Gearboxs thats all i know think the Vts one is a Close Ratio Box So tops out quicker than the 106 gti does....

Same box, same engine, for all intend & purpose they're the same car.
Saxo has a more modern looking dash and the Pug badge attracts a slightly higher price.
So take your pick.

My personal opinion is the 106 has the nicer interior and slightly better image.
But they are the same car

I dissagree, The saxo has the better interior, the 106 GTis look a little dated, 106 GTis gear knob is cool though
back can be a handful on mine when its wet and Im being a dick.
Its is a hard desision to make though, Id probably take the saxo

the saxo interior may have a slightly more modern dash... but as for the seats etc, god awful. i would never buy a saxo purely because of the hideous interior

106 gti is much more desirable and better looking in my opinion

same gearboxes just down to different cars/different mods etc as to wy that happened.
when i raced side by side with my mate both 106 gtis, he had an open cone i had a sealed induction kit, he used to pull on me in 2nd but i made it back up in 3rd, both gearboxes are the same, any differences will be due to other factors like mods and different production tolerances
