Ive been looking at the R32, quite like them - wouldnt mind one for my next car. Has anyone owned/drove one? Think it would be a wise purchase in terms of keeping its value? Seems the launch of the new R32 has not affected the price much. Would there be anything better for the money. Other contenders are the Ford Focus RS, Audi 1.8T Cab/S4 saloon & posibly the Mini cooper S.

I like the look of them, never been in one. But i'd expect the price to start dropping a little now, but thats no bad thing.

R32: Nice, slow IMO and bulky. Awesome crusier and 4x4 must make grip awesome
Mini: growing on me but still GAY
Audi: Niiiiiiiiice but a tad of a dealers car
S4: but old and probably troublesome

Yeah its not a bad thing if it was to drop a few K's before I buy one Just dont want to buy one for 15k or whatever only to find its worth 6k when I come to sell it in 2 years

You can't really get around depreciation, just buy the one you like best. I would'nt worry about it.

Focus RS has always appealed to me Ive never owned a ford though...not sure how I feel about it tbh, kind of goes against my grain.
R32 - nice big chunky cruiser, I could live with that, If I get bored (& rich) could always stick a SC on it
Mini - bit gay, I enjoy driving Jades apart from the seats hurt my back.......I dont think id have this problem with the R32 seats....you seen them??
Audi - just dunno. I like Audi's
All would be 03 plate +

Im biased but its the RS for me.
I looked at an R32 when i was buying my S3, lovely lovely cars - amazing grumble but got a bit of a weight problem. You will use loads of fuel but not really get the performance for it. But they do look and sound amazing.
I will ignore the last choice of car you mentioned as you can't compare that to the others youve listed IMO Not saying they are bad cars just not comparable in anything but cost

Thing is they are all great cars, but each in their own right.
So it really is down to personal choice, so you gotta drive them all to decide for yourself.
