Back in the day when I was a lad, even before the times of flat caps and Trotty, there were loads of Corsa showcars.. Donnas, Daves, Andys, Claires (did she split Diva in the end?), the list goes on and on....
I know theres been a few, Chumbly Warners, The green LET (James?) etc, but who else has a full blown show car these days on here?

There's not really any in the same way that Donnas, yours and that lot were, but I think there's a lot of high quality, really nice looking 'standard' cars with the go.
I can't actually think of any, with bodywork, interior and engine which you'd class as a 'show car' at all.

Nothing is pointless if you enjoy it.
Its pointless spending petrol on any car just to drive it? No, if you enjoy driving, you pay for fuel.

Was gonna say that too. Also, what about Beardys B20 RDY? Not sure if you'd class that as a "show car" tho but has the exterior, interior and engine mods done to a particular standard.

I don't regret spending out on D4. I know Donna doesn't regret spending out on D5 either. Guess its what your into and how much your into it. If your only half heartedly into something, you will never fully enjoy it.
I personnally regret only not saving first

i find it scary when people start referring to their cars as d4 d5 fluffy hunnycakes etc
not really anyone with show cars as such. much prefer the subtle look with performance anyway over any piece of fibreglass/plastic kit.

think the lack of 'showcars' is down to the change in the modifying world. lots of tacky fibreglass and big wheels isnt seen as 'cool' anymore, subtle is the latest trend in modifying IMO.

i know d4 and d5 are the start of the number plates just sound sweird when you always refer to them as that...

i'm giving my opinion, it's valid and a fact that most people will prefer sublte with performance more than other things unless the other things are done to a very high standard. some people call their cars show cars after sticking on a prowler kit and hardly smoothing it in.

There can be subtle showcars though.
Didn't a TB 1.6 Corsa win PVS last year, cream leather etc? Total showcar, but only had a GSi kit?
Quality, not quantity
So have they all dissapeared then?
