Took my car to my local powerflow to get my wonky exhaust fixed. Left it with them for the day & picked it up this afternoon. Looks nice & straight. Yay!
Soon as I started it up.....rattles like fook GAY!
Guy at powerflow reckons the back box is too big for the car. Well done Irmscher Not sure how true this is as its no bigger than the normal one
Even asked if them making up another centre pipe or chopping a bit off might help (that would be more money for them, Im suprised they didn't jump at the oppertunity)
Think I might have to get some heat resistant padding to put on the exhaust/rear beam
No mum, I haven't seen the oven gloves....

It's definitely for a B, the C has 3 prongs on the backbox.

irmscher would not produce a product that does not fit perfectly on the intended model of use

Remember this though, it didn't fit right in the first place.
I was there at the kwik fit place when we put the exhaust on & it didn't seem to fit right at all. The box has a curve in it thats meant to follow the line of the wheel well. Its nowhere near it!
Unless its because I have a diff middle section to what the back box was intended for (But Im pretty sure that the sport/sxi systems were all the same)

It's not supposed to directly follow the curve of the wheel well, it's just vaguely in that area
Remus just make it in a perfect box shape, then press the sides in
Middle section is the same

I wanted an irmscher back box for mine until I saw how they sat.
To be honest its a case of paying for the name, not the quality

I'd even be happy if they chopped it to bits & made new pipes
There's another custom exhaust place near me, might go pay them a visit

shud do matt give them the box and say i want the pipe cutting off near the entrance to the box and have near pipe made up so it lines up straight altho i think it may be abit hard to get it looking tidy! and it wont really be a irmy backbox then, prob better off just gettin a custom box made exactly like the irmy one same style
