Red one on black wheels was the Courtenay VXR was it not?

It was the first car that I actually stopped to take pictures of.
There seems to be something cool about fast, tuned diesels now. The Thurlby 888's are cool, and if this pushes 200bhp like they say, it'll go like shit of a stick.

Not sure. I saw a red, with black wheels on the Vauxhall stand I think. It had the VXR Performance Centra pack on. Bigger brakes, better wheels and some other spangely stuff.

Ah, I'm sure Courtenay had one too, or Thorney Motorsport. Looked good whoever it belonged to.
I think that CDTI one would look perfect with VXR front and rear lights

Yeah, that's the VXR Performance Centre one. Got the added details on the screen that is also sexual.
Still prefer the Thurbly CDTi. I can't see how they won't produce. So many people will buy it, especially if it has as good as fuel economy as the 888's.

I didn't think the D came with the 1.9? If not, it must be a conversion, which would be a lot of money if they tried to make and sell a batch.
200bhp and 300lb/ft in a Corsa would make it better than the VXR though, so hopefully they will.

On the Thurlby website under the 'News' section it says:
quote: On Sunday 3rd June Thurlby have agreed to display some of their cars at this years performance car show at Santa Pod Raceway in Northampton. We are planning to unveil our exciting new project. So watch this space!"
No information on the CDTi Corsa unfortunately.

They were running a competition where you fill in your details, then they spam you with information. You could win a Corsa, but it wasn't that one. This is the conversation I had with one of the promo ladies handing out the competition forms.
Me: Can we win that then?
Her: No, the one you'll win is not that fast.
Me: So what is that then?
Her: Some special thing. C. . .D. . .T. . .[pause]. . .i, something like that

She had obviously been well briefed.
I would imagine it's bassed on a 1.7 CDTi myself, as not to take limelight away from their 888 Astra's.
