MAJOR AFC RUMOURS Arsene Wenger has been promised a large transfer kitty but it consists of £20million from the board and all of the money from any sales! Michael Owen was shown around the facilities las week.
The first signing will be Bakari Sagna (Auxerre) closely followed by Yoan Gouffran (sm caen) . Franck Ribery was in a meeting with Gilles Grimandi for an hour after saturdays game against Ukraine and was taken to a meeting with Arsene Wenger the following day. Renato Augusto (cf flamengo) will also arrive at the club. Two other signings will be made but not until January?They will be Micah Richards (Man City) and an unamed young player from France?

I agree wallcot is one I think too much money was spent on. Hes is a prime example of how UK players are priced on potential but other countries players are priced on product and what they have done.

Because Gerrard and Lampard are better, i'd imagine. Still played 48 times for Man Utd though.

Hargreaves, Gerrard and Lampard are ahead. I wouldnt mind betting Beckham would be, and Scholes certainly if he was still about.
My point was though they had to spend that much money to buy someone who isnt in the national team. Hence showing how over priced English talent is.

I'm sure they don't mind if a few people think he was overpirced (£13million with add ons). After all they have the Prem Trophy again, they'll get over the price.....

It wasnt £13m with add-ons, thats like saying Lucas Neil isnt on £70k+ a week at WHU
And that isnt my point, as Im sure they are happy. My point is that it just shows how over-inflated English players prices are.
