have been looking at new cars lately (£7k budget)
been to see two astra coupes both 1.8's one just a bertone and the other a 100 edition the edition was a bit too pricy though but the bertone is just plain boring
seen a couple of clio 172's but they are higher mileage ones for the price
focus st170 average mileage for its age but would like lower
then i see some c2 vts' with good mileage plus newer
dont know what to do, suggestions??( car wise  )

Skoda will have that big black grill for FMIC.
I'd be gutted at paying 8k for 20 or 30 bhp over what a 500 quid remap gets though.
I think i'd just buy an 18k car instead.

If i could get a very good one i might, but by the time i'm in a position to do so (next year) i'll be able to afford alot newer car (corsa / astra vxr)
Plus the reason i wanted the 106 is because i wanted more fun, i still think for a more comfortable / grown up car the cupra is very good!
Still really like em hence why i'd reccomend one it just was too grown up for me at the time!

i dont get fabia vrs's everyone raves about them.
My mate had one as a company car, good pull through the gears but he soon got board of the couple of seconds of power in each gear.
Plus my clio (which is pritty quick but nothing special) murdered it off the lights, not pulled a little bit but murdered it.
for 7k id go for a tegra/civic typre R, mabee a 182 or if you wanna go VAG an octavia vrs (although dont like the looks personaly)
