I would burn fucking effigies of him outside of every home game if he was made captain. I've just started to calm down after his delaration that he wanted to stay all along, this little cretin is really starting to make my piss boil

Lot's of Newcastle fans are happy enough for him to stay and play, but I'd say and overwhelming majority would be disgusted to see him made club Captain. Most of the people in my local have said they'd rather see Barton made Captain over Owen

Given is certainly the right sort of character and a model professional, personally I'd like to see young Taylor make the step up although I still think it may be too soon for him

Taylor, Solano, Butt, Rozenhal are more than capable Captains although only Taylor and Rozenhal are likely to play in every game they are available

Taylor is definitly a future Captain, Newcastle born and bred, Strong, good character and happens to be a good footballer, just not sure if he's ready yet.

How old was Terry when he was made Chelsea Captain? Seem to remember him being early 20's
