I don't know if many insurance companies would insure you..and if they did it'd just rape you !
Wait 3 years !

i would have thought most people at that age would still have them insured with the origional small engine tbh.
Seen so many on ebay saying "2.0 engine but still down as 1.2, cheap insurance etc."

get so many young drivers around here all racing around in there little cars, its worrying to be honest, they haven't had much driving experience but yet they still thrash there little cars about.
Im talking about 1.2's and 1.4's which i see often racing around, i wouldn't want to think about some 17 year old driving around in a 2.0 corsa.
Im glad i have a 1.0 lol.

christ
option 1: try get insurance, someone will insure you but you will get bum fucked horribly, you will then proceed to but the car into the nearest object as it has to much power, of you will loose you license for speeding
option 2: stay with the slowest car known to man, build up some NCB and some experience and then deciede what you want to do

lol cheers green thing.i guess you are right, but you made the common mistake of pulling every young driver into the one group of people who are out thrashing cars n doing wheel spins etc.i have my fun because i race twin engined honda g-karts [yes u can feel the v-tec kick in ] so i think i could be sensible out on the roads because i get my rush somewhere else

stick with the 1.2 IMO, just make it look nice and keep it for a couple of years, build up your driving experience and NCB, then perhaps think about a 2.0 conversion.
But then again, a 1.2 to a 2.0 will still be a huge difference lol.

i very much doubt youll find ANY insurance company that will actually cover you on an xe
couple that with the impression i get of you from your username (loon) and being 17 and not actually knowing what an xe is, i think you'd stack it into the nearest, hedge/wall/lampost

could use the 1.2 for a couple of years, then get a 1.6.
Then later on move onto a 2.0.
