MINE JUST FUCKING SNAPPED! Why me? after having the car over 2 years now all this shit decides to happen (wind screen cracked, clutch cable snapped, track rod ends replaced for the MOT in october and then tracking) all in the space of 4 days. I was about 5min drive from home and i put my clutch in to take it out of gear at a junction to go into first. then SNAP! So i had to start the car in gear and drive home and luckly i know how to change gear without a clutch now
So anyways, how much is this going to cost me once again.. i already have the wind screen being replaced in the next 3 hours. Can old cables be removed and refitted again? i have one on the GSI but i dont fancy my luck at the moment, it will probably snap or somthing worse happen
Thanks

Maybe my story will ake u feel a bit better
Had a corsa, some1 hit the back of me loadsa damage, got it sorted. Two weeks later i crash it and break axle etc - so corsas dead.
I bought an audi a4 and 2 days after i get it my clutch cable goes. Phone maechanic and he says £30 all in will do it, give him a day. Call back the next day and turns out the audi doesnt use a cable, its hydralics instead, so now im off the road for nearly a week maybe and out of pocket about £200.
So in answer to ur question about £30 will cover it.

Mine snapped before 40mile from home, all minor roads too so i couldn't sit in 5th on a dual carriagway or anything.
Luckily i soon got the hang of clutchless changes, having start the engine in first gear tho to set off was annoying
