whats the mass panic with man utd strikers atm
rooney may be out for 8 weeks but ole and saha will be back in the next couple of weeks and we have tevez and a whole midfield capable of scoring more than enough goals

I keep saying this Mather.
We have midfielders who are quite comfortable in attack.

Ole and Saha arent top quality really though are they?!?!
And agreed you have a great midfield for scoring goals, but you dont want to be relying on your midfield to get the goals as they wont always.

Considering Rooney is fat, shit, not an out and out striker and not world class he doesn't do too badly does he! 22 goals wasn't it last season.
Can't rely on Ole no, 15 goals a season comes in handy though.
Saha only scored 12 last season but had his "injury" problems.

Never said anything bad about Rooney, he may be fat, but I wont say he isnt a good player.
And when was the last time Ole scored 15 goals a season for you?
Saha isnt bad if he can recapture his very best form, but seems very injury prone now and wont be someone you could rely on scoring the goals Rooney did last year.

Ole scored 12 last season, I just rounded up
I don't really want to comment on Saha until later on in the season

Wonder what the ratio was for goals to minutes of football played.

Man United don't have strike problems ffs, come back at the end of the season and you'll see how many they've scored, there's goals throughout the entire team.
The 1 minor problem that's been highlighted from the first 2 games is the lack of aerial threat from set pieces but it's not that great an issue tbh.

Liverpool FTW.
And OG and free kick that wasn't a free kick.
I'm convinced.

If you start relying on midfielders to score your goals you'll quickly find yourselves battling with us for 4th place... we are where we are because we never replaced two midfielders who regularly scored 30 a seaosn between them i.e. Pires and Ljungberg

I spose you can add in the fact that wenger constantly replaces world class players wiht potential talents but still, any team is gonna miss 30 goals a season really!

You can't rely on midfielders to score goals but Arsenal are were they are because they can't rely on midfielders to score goals?

As said, when they stopped producing, we lost 30 goals a season... that has certainly contributed heavily to our drop to 4th
