Ive just finished tiling the floor in the new kitchen so its almost finished now, but im not sure what to do about the tiling on the walls. Do you reckon I should keep it dark ish and keep the colour theme, or do something like a cream as a contrast so the room isnt too dark? Here's some pics of how it is...

Agree with white, i honestly cant think of a colour that wont clash
Why did you choose those colour floor tiles? They dont match the rest of the kitchen sorry matt, that kitchen is lush!

my mate has a similar colour scheme in his kitchen and his tiles are a kind of pale grean/grey colour. doesn't sound nice but looks really classy.

sorry to hijack your thread, but is that kitchen from MFI? currently looking for one, and saw something similar (if not identical) in MFI, just that their display didn't really show it off. Looks good though

either those brick shaped white ones as posted (seen some like that ages ago and always liked them!)
Or get some stainless steel cut to fit - most kitchen places do this. Have this going between the units and to a similar height where there are no upper units. And then paint the rest of the walls.

Question has now pretty much been answered, but just to clarify, yes it is. I just bought an LED lighting kit off ebay which im gonna install in the plinth too, instead of £160 from MFI it was £45 off ebay for a colour changing kit

What about a stainless steel splashback behind the cooker (right up to the extractor), then get a splashback exactly the same as your worktop for 6", then just paint the wall.
Most the 'high spec' kitchens in the rented places I've had were never tiled...

I was looking at ones like these, screwless irifium black ones...
Only thing is though I have one double socket which is cooker switch and normal plug combined, and the only thing I can see online is something like this which is still ok but not quite as nice as the other one...
Or even a matt black one, they got the cooker switch in this range too...

We're getting the same kitchen....those tiles look good.
I've been considering a glass splashback....not sure how it would look, or what colour to go for
