mine was last season, after George Best died there was a one minute applause (instead of silence) at the first home game... the sound of 76+ thousand supporters cheering is an exhilarating feeling!

Bit harsh.
It was a joke, I was hopping you or Hammer would pick up on it.
I don't have any playing highlights, haven't played that much team football.

That was awesome.
I saw that game in the pub, one of the lads in our group isn't the biggest football fan, and when Becks scored everyone was going nuts apart from him. He just sat there and looked bewildered!

watching: 1999 champions league final
playing: either scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over a team from stockport in the england national school cup quarter final, equalizing against a liverpool side in the same cup the round before, or "winning" a penalty in the evening telegraph cup final at highfield rd(coventry).
got to say the best bit about that was we got to walk through the crowds, all fenced off, showed our player passes and the security let us through, felt like a pro, aged 16

The same answer I always give when this crops up:
Watching the Champions League final in 1999 at the Northern Wall.
All packed in at the bar, couldn't get to the big screens so watching the 21" mounted above the bar. When we scored we all went mental cheering, one of the lads threw the contents of his pint up in the air, we turned around and my mate was on his knees clutching his face saying his eyes stung. It all went in his eyes
We were all pissing ourselves and I don't remember much from that night other than we won and my mate got bear in his eyes!

i attended that game and was sat in the stretford end.
it was a classic game and very memorable.
when rio ferdinand scored, him and his fellow team mates celebrated the goal in front of where i was sat.
i got very excited
