PRESS RELEASE: Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH to bring best-selling Pro Evolution Soccer series to Wii
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it will be bringing its multi-million-selling Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series to Nintendo Wii™, with a bespoke version of the game being developed for the system for release in 2008.
Scheduled for a Q1 launch, the Wii version of PES will offer the same level of realism that has established the series as the definitive football title, but has been undergone a radical rethink to make the most of the Wii’s motion-sensitive control system. The game will make full use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, offering total control over every aspect of the players and their movements both on and off the ball. The clever use of the Wii controllers will allow users to send players running into space, and to distribute the ball with ease.
“We are extremely keen to introduce PES to as wide a selection of football fans as possible, and the Wii and its unique abilities are a perfect fit,” commented Jon Murphy, Pro Evolution Soccer Team Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “The potential for PES on the format is enormous, and we look forward to a very exciting start to 2008.”

Just bought it. Was £35 in most places and £40 in WH Smiths. Asda was sold out yesterday and at dinnertime. Just gone back and £27.71
Head hurts now though, controls are so hard!

Also, whats with Newcastle and Spurs being the only teams! I wasn't aware it wasn't licenced! Theres every league and team you can think of but no Premier League! Has PES always being like this?

Players are all there, just the teams. Reminds me of Sensible Soccer!

at least with the xbox 360 version you can patch the game so you have all the premier league kits and logos but you do need a modded console for this. My friend has got Pro evo on his Wii and said its quite good once you get over the controls, looks interesting to say the least

Im not talking about option file with 4 new kits(as thats all you can import using the camera) Im on about all premier league kits, logos, fonts etc.. and you need a modded console for this, I'll get some pics up of my game if you like?

oh you mean an actual game patch, used to do that on my ps2, not worth all the hassle tbh, using the option file gives you the big 4's kits and the rest are coloured righty so its just as good to me a I dont really use the rest of the league.

Not sure.
You control the player with the Wiimote and flick the Nunchucku to shoot.
You can control every player on the pitch and pass the ball into space for one to run to. Havn't sussed that yet!
