Went out for a spirited drive with my mate who has a C2 VTS.

While on a dual carrage way we both set off at 30 in 5th gear to see which picks up better....

Place your bets........

I wooped his arse

0-70, up hill, down hill. I won. But he out handles me by miles. Which is anoying. Also his brakes are better but he doesn't like jumping on them hard coz the rear end twitches and worrys him. So i can, for now, out brake him.

When he hits the brakes the rear end twitches? I thought those cars were 'packed with technology'. Surley the range topping VTS must have some kind of emergency brake assist or the very least an intelligent ABS system?

He's stripped the rear (seats, spare wheel and the cage) and it's on 17's but it's not lowered yet.

Think thats why it's twitches under high speed braking.
