I don't agree with this.
I fill up my car with normal sainsbury unleaded, it goes quick (the fuel) and the car runs like a bag of poo.
If I use sainsburys super, it runs quieter, smoother and the fuel last longer.

I used to fill my XE Corsa with BP Ultimate and it used to fly, I filled it up with BP Unleaded and it was no different.
My mate had a Golf 1.8T 180Bhp, made no difference to his car either, was just as quick on both fuels.

will only make any difference on cars that are designed to run a higher ron fuel such as most turbo'd cars. or cars mapped to run a higher ron fuel.
your corsa 1.4 sport will not benefit from it in any way at all.

thats prolly a load of rubbish, if you use 99 ron for a while then go straight back to 95 ron i imagine that pretty much ruins all those cleansing agents?

For the car - Only use Optimax/vPower when its on promotion as the same price
For the bike - always use Optimax. Put normal in when desperate, but it doesnt feel 100%

Shell V-power is only good if you use it while its fresh.
While its sitting in the storage tanks, its quality de-grades, as the octane is raised with boosters. Its not a true 97/98 ron.

Heard the headlines but never heard the actual stories. Presumably though being as it was in whatcar it'll be a 1.6 focus of something like that, where you wouldn't see a difference.
Say's it all really, and it's independant testing.
