I picked it up locally about 2 weeks ago.. well chuffed with it!
Not got any good pictures of it yet, just the ones from the ebay advert, which dont do it any justice!

Does anyone know of any good forums for them? Could do with trying to source some upgrades & advice on a few bits.

Yeah, its got a few nice trick bits... carbon fibre intake covers, mirrors, front wheel cover, side vents & tank guard.

Larger rear sproket & smaller front to give better acceleration, K&N, and its been jetted & set up on the rollers.

Braided lines, steering damper, larger profile front tyre, dropped front yokes & different rear spring also.

The Muzzy's not too bad to be honest. It is loud, but its a more refined sound than some others I've heard.

Am well pleased with it and it goes like stink! The previous owner claimed it would see off some R1's on the acceleration. I've not had the chance to verify that yet, but my mate's got an R6 of the same age and said he can notice the difference.

Someone is bullshitting you for the sale. Mine is very similar spec, has been jetted, sprocket etc.. and even an older standard R1 would pull away. Litre bike acceleration is a whole different league 60+.

I'd also junk the K&N filter as for some reason the standard filter performs better.. Not sure why but seems to be the opposite with the R6.

Cheers for the link Alan! will check it out.
I did think it was a bit optimistic, but the sale had already been done so it wasn't sales patter. To be honest, I'm not ready to give the bike full beans yet anyway - its my 1st bike and I also need to get used to riding it. I can't keep up with my mates standard R6 cos he's a flippin loon.

I will change the filter at the next service - do you reccomend OEM or aftermarket standard replacment such as Champion?

Jacko you alreet mate! Yeah am still living in London.. have just spend most of Sept up in Bolton though, and am going back up again today until Sunday. I will be getting another crosser when I get round to it. Need to get myself a cheap diesel & a foldable bike trailor that can carry both of them 1st.
How is your bike? Dont you miss the Raptor?

Stavs, I used to work at SQ Plus in Manchester in my spare time.. not got round to changing it.

The bike cost me £2552 off ebay;

The OEM yam filter on the R6 is very good. I wouldn't say bin the K&N, just when it's repalcement time go back to a yam one unless you notice any fueling issues now.

Many a dyno chart shown with different cans, jetting and filter changes have shown the K&N's to be a little more restrictive with air flow. Only going on what the majority have recommended in the past
